We love exploring the unknown here at Herald and have recommended a few routes that provide the perfect journey to take your Herald during summer. All you need to bring is a helmet, some sunglasses and your trusty Herald.
Matlock Bath – Macclesfield
The Peak District is an excellent starting point to try out your Herald; with so many brilliant roads it sees riders from surrounding areas flock to the Peaks, perfect for meeting fellow Herald riders! Many riders take this journey and ride back through the famous Cat and Fiddle road, appreciating the sights of Chatsworth House and Poole’s Cavern along the way.
Want a shorter journey? The Cat and Fiddle road is perfect during the summer to take in the sights of Greater Manchester and the Peak District National Park.
Great Dunmow – Haverhill
With a picturesque view of the village of Finchingfield, this beautiful free flowing road and the low hedges create an open view and is perfect for a short ride. For those wanting to make a day of it, the nearby town of Saffron Walden provides a wealth of specialist shops and pubs where you can sit back, relax and appreciate how good your Herald looks in the Sun.
Hunstanton – Cromer
Perfect for those coastal rides, this Norfolk coastal route will leave you wanting more. The A149 is tight in places, narrow and a challenge but highly rewarding. Going at a steady pace is extremely satisfying and with many great stopping points and scenic views this route is one of our favourites during the summer.
Dolgellau – Aberystwyth
We couldn’t write about recommended journeys without mentioning Wales! If you were to find yourself on the A487 then your Herald is in for a treat. Starting off as a leafy A-road, this route suddenly changes to a steep climb, to a narrow pass and then a long descent that clings to the mountain side. With beautiful views of Lake Talylynn and the Welsh hillside this route is not one to be missed.
Alexandria – Ballachulish
A must-ride in Scotland. This unforgettable road provides perfect wild scenery for you and your Herald. The towering hills create a serenely beautiful view with the further you travel from Alexandria, the more this route surprises you. A good road surface and the straights plenty long will keep a smile on your face for the whole journey; all you need to take are some sunglasses and your trusty Herald.
We love hearing stories of places you have visited with your Herald and a picture will always make our day. If you have one to share then email us at marketing@heraldmotorcompany.com or drop us a message on our social media channels.
